Business Data Analyst (RAS)

Job Summary The

Business Data Analyst

position helps drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. Responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of SQL, data visualization tools, & AI frameworks, and will work closely with stakeholders to translate data into actionable recommendations. Operates under general supervision, with latitude for independent judgment. Key Duties Collect, process, and analyze pharmacy-related datasets — including pharmacy claims, MediSpan, clinical program data, and healthcare metrics — to uncover trends, opportunities, and program outcomes. Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and transform data from multiple sources, including Snowflake, databases, APIs, and spreadsheets. Ensure data quality and consistency across platforms by identifying, investigating, and correcting discrepancies. Collaborate with data engineers to design and maintain reliable data pipelines that support repeatable, scalable reporting. Design and develop operational-grade dashboards, visual reports, and KPIs using Power BI, Sigma, and other visualization tools. Lead assigned projects end-to-end, including scoping, stakeholder communication, and timely delivery of complex analytical work. Harness the power of AI to achieve efficiency and highest-quality outputs. Education/Training Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent education plus technical experience (3-5 years). Required Work Experience/Skills Advanced proficiency in SQL: query optimization, joins, CTEs, window functions, and working with complex, large-scale data structures in Snowflake or equivalent cloud data platforms. Demonstrated ability to build operational-grade reports and dashboards using Power BI and Sigma. Strong presentation and storytelling skills — able to synthesize data into clear, concise narratives for senior leadership, partners, and customers. Experience presenting analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders, including in external partner or customer-facing settings. Detail-oriented with a high standard of quality, especially in outputs intended for executive or external audiences. Effective professional communication — written, verbal, and visual — across technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to self-manage, prioritize competing assignments, and work collaboratively. Skilled at gathering business requirements, conducting process analysis, and framing problem resolution in business terms. Ability to lead projects independently and manage stakeholder expectations throughout. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Power BI. Ability to learn, adopt, and contribute to new technologies and analytical frameworks related to RedSail’s AI infrastructure. Preferred Work Experience/Skills Experience with pharmacy and/or healthcare data, including claims, clinical programs, reimbursement metrics, or PBM dynamics. Prior experience in a customer-facing, partner-facing, or consulting analytics role. Proficiency with modern analytics stack tooling. Proficiency with AI tools used in analytics settings (Snowflake Cortex, Claude). Discretionary Judgment Uses independent judgment and discretion based upon the employee’s experience and knowledge of pharmacy data, analytical methods, and stakeholder needs. Exercises sound judgment in determining how to frame, present, and communicate findings to diverse audiences, including external partners. Possesses ethical work values and handles sensitive business and patient data with appropriate discretion. Physical Demands, Working Conditions, and General Employment Guidelines Moderate levels of stress may be experienced in the performance of the job. Position is performed in a general office environment, home office, or approved remote workspace where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, partner engagements, customer site visits, conferences, or strategic sessions. Equipment Daily use of Microsoft Teams (messaging, calling, video), computer, and other routine office equipment. Must have internet access. Safety to Self and Others Little responsibility for the safety of others. Job is performed in an office setting where there are no hazardous materials or equipment. Working Conditions/Hazards Position is performed in an open office environment or approved remote work location. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 annually. This position is also eligible for an annual target bonus of 4%. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
